D23 Expo Recap

So it's been almost a week since D23 Expo has commenced and there's still so much running through my mind...

Like how amazing Alan Menken is.... Like honestly people. This man.
vvvvvv

Isn't he just fantastic?!
If you want to hear more from The Disney Songbook in Concert from last week's D23 Expo, just head on over to my Youtube Profile where I've posted most of Alan Menken's segments.
I don't know if it's just me, but does Menken's voice remind anyone else of Hades from Hercules? ...No? Just me?

Or how I finally got to physically be a part of the Optimist ARG? For those of you who know what I'm talking about and maybe even participated; you know how amazing the experience was. For those of you who didn't play along, it's really fun to look through the stuff that happened... All starting here. Some crazy stuff happened and it's truly all pretty unexplainable.

And. How cool people are! If you're a Disney fan and you've got a chance to go to D23 I'm going to throw in a little shameless plug for you right here...
Ever feel weird when you're in the park skipping around re-creating "That's How You Know" and people are looking at you like you're crazy? Or when you're cleaning and expect small animals to come in the windows and help? Or when you're in the park and someone next to you asks a cast member, "What time is the 3 o-clock parade?"... If you want to feel normal; go to D23 Expo. I promise you that someone else will be crazier than you... And I mean that in a good way. It's always refreshing when people understand where you're coming from. Plus, you have the chance to see some amazing panels and presentation that are absolutely once in a lifetime. At the 2011 Expo, I got to see Dick Van-Dyke perform... And I cried my eyes out. This year, I got to see Alan Menken and Richard Sherman perform the songs they wrote which was an amazing treat, accompanied by tears as well. Where else do you get to see something like that? Plus, you get to see people in awesome cosplay costumes and even though it's a geeky expo, I promise it doesn't smell as much as ComicCon... So who could say no?!

Oh, and I got to see Tom Hiddleston sing "The Bare Necessities"... You just can't not love a British man... Especially one who is a villain in the Marvel world, but seemingly such a sweetie in person. ESPECIALLY not one that sings "The Bare Necessities" without making the crowd bow down to him, despite the fact we were putty in his hands.

So, D23 Expo 2015. Just do it.
